On 16th July 2025, the Centre for Future PCI Planning kicked off with an event bringing together all the investigators and clinical partners. We were privileged to hear a series of outstanding talks on state-of-the-art use of imaging to guide PCI, from world leading groups in the field. Emil Nielsen Holck (Aarhus University Hospital) provided an overview of the OCTOBER clinical trial and insights gained from analysis of the large OCT imaging dataset, while Akiko Maehara (Columbia University Medical Centre) presented her cutting-edge work on IVUS-guided PCI. Finally, Carlos Collet (Cardiovascular Center OLV-Aalst) provided an inspiring talk on his pioneering work looking at CT-guided PCI. The event also provided an opportunity for our outstanding PDRAs and PhD students (Sathish Kumar Marimuthu, Callum Macauley, Silvia Renon, Lucia Dal Ferro and Orla Conlon) to provide updates on their research.
