Fellowships for SofTMech staff and students

SofTMech staff and students have been awarded Fellowships; Dr Cicely Macnamara has been appointed to a three-year Rankin-Sneddon Fellowship in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow, from September 2021. Fellowships for SofTMech staff and students: Congratulations to Dr Cicely Macnamara on being appointed to a three-year Rankin-Sneddon Fellowship in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow, from September 2021. She was previously a SofTMech Research Assistant at St Andrews University, working with Professor Mark Chaplain on tumour growth dynamics.
In addition, Debao Guan and Jay Mackenzie have been awarded one-year Post-PhD Research Assistantships in Mathematics and Statistics at Glasgow. Debao will be working on 'Growth and remodelling of right ventricle under pulmonary arterial hypertension' mentored by Professor Nick Hill, and Jay on 'A Coupled ventilation-perfusion model for the lungs' mentored by Dr Peter Stewart.
