Biography

Current Role

Currently, I am working on a CSO funded project, in partnership with the Drugs Research Network for Scotland, which takes a systems approach to exploring syndemic health and social condition clustering among individuals who experience a drug-related death.

Previous Roles

I have previously worked as a Lecturer at the University of Stirling and as a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Rostock, Germany). I completed my PhD at the SPHSU in 2017 and returned in 2021 to work in the Relationships and Health Program.

Research interests

My research interests are in mortality inequalities and secondary analysis of administrative data. I have experience working with international administrative data including hospital admissions data covering entire populations.
